Kenya Simbas ready to roar in RFUEA
National Rugby 15’s team Kenya Simbas moved to the second position on the Africa Gold Cup championship with five points after beating Morocco 28- 24 points in their opening tie in Casablanca last weekend.
Tries from Biko Adema, Moses Omusala, and Tony Onyango’s brace helped Kenya claim the win. The win now sees Kenya sit second on the standings behind defending champions Namibia who have won their two opening matches after demolishing Tunisia 118-0 in their other fixture that was hosted in Tunis. Namibia had earlier beaten Uganda by 55-6 points.
The next fixture for Kenya will be on this Saturday at the RFUEA Grounds where they will host Zimbabwe. After the fixture Ian Snook charges will then lock horns with neighbors Uganda next month then finish the campaign with a match against Tunisia in August.
The team that will win the overall title in this championship will book a ticket to represent Africa in the Rugby World Cup that will be held in Japan in 2019.
